![]() As long as the app is available, the only thing that would affect playability would be internet connection. The service doesn't use much of your own devices hardware. Upgrade what? You wouldn't know what's required since there isn't any official information from Microsoft about this. I've played on a $30 android tablet no problem. The reason why this is still in Beta is because they have to figure out how to make it available to everyone with a smart device, including Mac owners. If you're that concerned, try Nvidia GeForce Now on your mac. I wouldn't upgrade your Mac for XCloud or console streaming. They could buy GeForce Now from Nvidia essentially taking them out of business without having to sell anything.Įventually someone with enough power as Microsoft will have the advantage for Mac or other unsupported devices, Microsoft will answer to this. Amazon will be in the same boat as Google, however I don't believe they'll fail. Google already has the clientele for this, they're just failing for obvious reasons, but unlike Microsoft, they have a whole world of customers and subscribers that will see and use their service. They're trying to get XCloud to everyone with a smart device. If crossplay was a thing, then they'd release the official version, however currently the service, a pay for service will only be appealing to Xbox owners and players. They just don't have a sure way to ensure it won't fail at launch. If course testing is needed, however the Beta is close to finished. I assume Microsoft uses their own service for the android app, and if so they can convert the app to iOS with a button. I'd agree with everything, but the fact that you say there's no reason to release a Mac application. ![]()
